Lolab's Festival Paris

On 18–19 July, LOLAB took over Le 211 in La Villette for a vibrant celebration of Latin American culture in Paris. Over the course of the weekend, an artisan market, workshops, performances and a late-night party came together to give visitors a full immersion in Latin American creativity and energy. Artisan Markets

At the heart of the LOLAB Festival was a vibrant artisan market bringing together Latin American makers and creative brands under one roof at Le 211. Visitors had the chance to browse handcrafted goods, original designs, and unique creations while meeting the artisans behind them and hearing the stories that inspired their work. More than just a marketplace, it was a space for discovery and connection — a chance to support small Latin American businesses in Paris and take home a piece of the culture the festival celebrates.

Under the covered walkway at La Villette, visitors stopped to browse one of the market stalls, Kitzia Sámano, its table presents beautifully designed prints and illustrated cards. The graphic work she offers is a nod to several emblematic themes of Mexican culture

In front of La Villette, Mohissak Jewellery create unique jewellery designed for customers to treat themselves and bring luxury to everyday with these elevated pieces.

The LOLAB market was a reminder that markets bring people together. In a space built around Latin American creativity, a sense of connection was everywhere — between maker and visitor, between old friends and new ones, and between everyone drawn together by the same love of culture and craft.

Momento Descato Drag Bingo

One of the standout moments of the LOLAB Festival was Descato Drag Bingo, a joyful mash-up of classic bingo and dazzling drag performance. Hosted with wit, charisma and plenty of audience interaction, the afternoon turned into a full-blown show — complete with a lip-sync competition that had the crowd cheering and specialised performances from the queens themselves between rounds. It was a perfect example of the festival's spirit: inclusive, high-energy, and full of unexpected moments that brought the crowd together.

Lucky bingo winners took to the stage to celebrate with the international drag cast (Just Janice Fine, Emmie Reek, Miss Camila Universe and Baby Drag Locale) holding up their prizes with big smiles after a night of games, laughs and lip-sync showdowns

The event drew a large audience that particpated in an interactive game of bingo. This was LOLAB Festival at its liveliest, bringing everyone together in one shared space to kick off the evening.

Janice Fine took the mic for a captivating performance at Descato Drag Bingo, holding the room's full attention as phone lights flickered on across the crowd. It was a perfect showcase of the specialised queen performances that punctuated the night.

Communion x Basscule Party

Communion x Bascule, was a techno party that brought the two-day celebration to a electric close. With DJs delivering pulsing basslines and immersive sets late into the night, the dancefloor became the beating heart of the festival's final hours — a fitting finale that carried the same energy and community spirit of the weekend into the early morning

Techno and groovy sounds filled the room, meeting an immersive visual setup of slicing laser beams and a DJ set that lit up the dark.

This was part of the open decks session, the perfect way to close out day one of LOLAB Festival — an open floor for DJs to share their sound, carrying the energy of the day into the early hours as the first day came to an end.

The strong turnout across the night was a highlight of LOLAB Festival, with everyone dancing, connecting and thoroughly enjoying themselves as the party carried on into the night — a great way to continue the celebration of Latin American culture, creativity and community on
