Gabriela joins the organization Salve y Selva, dedicated to art, communication, and multidisciplinary projects. With them, the festival takes a leap outside the university environment to reach a broader audience. It is decided to hold it in the historic cultural center La Bellevilloise, with the participation of 50 artists from 9 countries in disciplines such as tattoo, photography, painting, audiovisual installations, cinema, live concerts, DJ sets, conferences, dance, theater, graffiti, and gastronomy. The artistic and cultural results exceeded expectations, although the financial balance ended in losses.

For personal reasons, Gabriela returns to Ecuador. The members of Salve y Selva were likewise unable to continue with the festival. In 2018, Mónica Benavides had supported with logistics and DJ curation. Upon hearing the news that L’Autre Amérique Latine could not continue due to lack of team members, she proposed taking over the project and continuing it.

Mónica invites other people to join the project, creating a team of Latin women in Paris, experts in different fields. Thanks to their knowledge and desire to show what Latin America is, they manage to continue this project with some adjustments.
For this edition, Marché Latino x L’Autre Amérique Latine is born. It took place at the cultural space La Cité Fertile. For the first time, a 100% Latin market was held in Paris, along with a program of workshops for all ages, informative talks, and DJ sets.
