Reactivation of the association L’Autre Amérique Latine post-pandemic.
This year, Mónica decided to resume the annual festival in Paris. Considering the Olympic Games taking place in France, the date was set for early September, at Point Éphémère, a renowned cultural center in the city.
For this edition, Mónica opted for programming in collaboration with various international collectives:
- INTERTRONIKA (Hamburg, Germany)
- Rico, collective of modulators (Paris)
- Communion, collective based in Barcelona, Berlin.
In this new stage, the festival changed its name from LATAM to LOLAB.
LOL from La Otra Latinoamérica. The incorporation of “LAB” expresses the intention to consolidate the festival as a space for experimentation and collective creation, where new ideas can be tested, collaborations generated, and bridges built among artists living in different cities. At the same time, it seeks to open exhibition and meeting spaces to give visibility to emerging proposals.

Day of the Dead and Halloween celebration
This event aims to teach children the true meaning of the Day of the Dead, beyond the Halloween celebration.
This year we were welcomed by HOBA, where the shaman Ayni joined us as hostess of the event. The day included the participation of entrepreneurs, activities such as face painting, and various workshops for the whole family.
Marché de Noel Latino x L’autre amérique latine, Lolab
A market full of Latin American entrepreneurs and some French guests. On Saturday, we closed with an unforgettable party featuring Bascha (FR), Al Greco (PER), and Andrea Arias aka Zige (COL).
On this occasion, Andrea was our special guest. She is an outstanding representative of the FLINTA community in Medellín, with an extensive career in the electronic industry in Colombia.
We also had the privilege of featuring the visual arts of NVRZ and Beeldjeturs, who contributed a unique graphic dimension to the experience.
